This?

This was weird.

It had been just a few weeks since the unexpected transformation - Aubri, had he been given a choice, would only in very few circumstances choose to have a human body - and he still felt like a yearling lamb, stumbling over himself and unsure of his own body. There was no telling when or if he'd return to his own body; though, in some ways, this already was his body. He could see the traces of gryphon still present: tawny gold eyes, fingernails that were more like talons, a suggestion of feathers in amongst too-human hair.

He'd taken to the roof of his home - a ramshackle apartment - in this city of eternal dusk. He still like high places, go figure. Aubri knew he should be going; he was probably already late for his dinner with Mary. She'd done so many things for him, not the least of which was helping him figure out how to be newly human when he'd shown up (naked) on her doorstep.

But the breeze was just on the pleasant side of brisk and he imagined flying.
